Extra lean steak or minced beef is used in these burgers……and the addition of a hot lemon dressing with artichoke hearts and olives lifts these burgers to a luxurious and gourmet level.



  • 600g low fat minced beef (maximum fat 10%, or minced lean sirloin/rump steaks)
  • 1 tablespoon capers (drained and finely chopped)
  • 35g sun-dried tomatoes (well drained, finely chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons crushed black peppercorns
  • 400g tinned artichoke hearts in water (well drained )
  • 2 cloves garlic (peeled and crushed)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (finely chopped)
  • juice of half a lemon
  • 25g black olives (stoned and chopped)
